Molly is an individual, family, and group psychotherapist who has long experience in the mental health and addiction recovery fields. She has worked in in- and outpatient psychiatric and substance abuse settings (hospital and rehabilitation), as well as inner city mental health and suburban domestic violence clinics. Through her diverse experience, she has also developed expertise working with young adults and adolescents struggling with high anxiety, OCD, or panic disorder, mood disorders, and life crises. Molly strongly believes that serious or chronic mental health issues can be prevented or ameliorated through developing cognitive and emotional flexibility--and that this can be aided by therapeutic use of innate strength and the creative impulse.
Molly carries a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Art Therapy, and received her Master's in Social Work from Hunter College of the City University of New York. She practices painting and photography, and is open to the use of art in psychotherapy.
